With friends of Graz we went to Hochimst and enjoyed the run with the alpine coaster. Klausi (age 4) wanted me to be his driver, and I am a _very_ fast driver! He enjoyed it too. He always screamd "Gasgeben, gasgeben!" It was a great, funny experience. The final act was a damage of my right middle-finger. A strain af the tendon. But I hope it will be healed until Ferrara.

The last days at home I thought it was hot. 36 deg C on the terrace, 32 deg C at the north part of the house in the shadow. But yesterday I was cycling in Innsbruck. I had no thermometer but there must have been 36 deg C in the shadow parts of the streets. I nearly colapsed. Sweating didn't stop until late in the evening. Now it's cool: 20 deg C outside and 25 deg C inside.

Drove home without difficulties. Checked emails, copied photographs to PC, fell asleep.

Cloudy day so I read 007 Moonraker between all other activities. 171 pages. Family talk in the evening.

Slept until the heat pulled me out of bed. Visited Salzburg with my nephew. Drinking on the terrace until now.

Slept long, coffeebreak. Played Settlers of Catan cardgame with Mikey. Grillage in the evening. Reading Bond.

Drove to my sister with mother in her new car. Air conditioned. Swimming in a real lake. Chatting on the terrace.

At least they started: Summerholidays. Only 65 days remaining until school starts again.

On monday we had a nice trip to Bozen and the Montiggl-lakes. Take the chance and have a look at it: Montiggl.

Because the plants are growing too slow here, we have too few plants to shadow the lake. So the temperature increased in the last few weeks tremendous. Yesterday there were 26 deg Celsius, and that's too high. Algas would have exploding growth. So the fire brigade pumped away 400000 liters and filled it up with fresh cold water. Today the lake had 19 deg and that was fine cool swimming. And it is much more clearer than before. Hope, that will last until september.
