I changed my desktop light from energy saving light bulb to LED bulb. The first bulb took 11 Watt in use, the LED bulb only 1,8 Watt. In addition to that I installed a radio transmitting energy plugin. It causes all standby facilitys to not take any energy while not in use. Let's see whow much energy I will be saving in one year.

The landscape is covered with snow, hight 1 cm. Well, I have still summer-tires mounted...

Nowadays it sounds strange listening to the night. You don't know whether there are Orcs outside singing round a campfire or the deer has mating season. Roaring all the night sounds like from a different world. But thats only deer!

Today we got 1 ton of wood bricks. I carried 500 kg by hand into my cellar and 500 kg by hand to my neighbour. I got long arms now!

Looked out the window ... went out for smoking ... indeed, thats snow. Allright, I will pack my snowchains and snow shovel in my car.

On sunday, September 02 it was the last time, I was swimming in my lake. If there will be a later date, I will remove this posting so that you can see the last day of swimming in my lake.

First I thought the Invasion from the Sahara startet, but this is only a singular criquet in our Garden, but 10 times greater than the other grasshoppers we have. Different to our neighbours we do not have an english lawn or a golf lawn, we have many many different plants, because we don't cut the grass very often. So we also have a lot of insects. This one is a big one:

Today is the first day I heard crickets chirping like in summer. And I also saw the first swallow. But stille she makes no summer at all. Unfortunately.

While there was very few snow in Hall we had apr. 20 cm high (or deep) snow in Obsteig. As much as we had never in this winter before. Thanks, but now it's enough.

Airport Innsbruck says 1 °C. Here in Obsteig right now: 11,8 °C!

This year I have a christmas nativity scene in the scale 1:87. Very nice and takes not so much place.

Yesterday we had the "Adventstrasse" in Obsteig, where I arranged the appearance of my choir. We had a nice little house, offered "Punsch" and "Kinderpunsch" together with "Fleischkassemmeln" and the allover present "Bier". Most of the other associations of Obsteig appeared there and offered different things, like "Glühwein", "Bier", "Kiachln", "Bier", "Glühwein", "Bier", "Glühwein", "Glühwein", "Glühwein" or "Glühwein". Started the day at 8:30 with building up our stand and finished it after some "Glühweine" and "Biere" at 23:00. On sunday we will finish it with taking down the little house. Thanks this is only once in Advent-time.

Yesterday we saw the first parts of ice on the lake. But today, 3.12.2006 was the first day that the lake had a closed ice cover. Funny was the sound when the surface was freezing: it sounds like a swarm of alien birds and lasted for about one hour. Strange.

5,5 weeks after my last swimming in the lake we had today the first snowfall. Not much but in fact: snow

As I don't know what the weather and the temperatures will be, I will make it this way:

Should there be a day later in the year, where I will swim again, I will delete this posting and write a new one, so that you and I will remember the last day of my swimming in 2006 in the lake.
