Today is the first day that our lake begins to freeze. From our rain-pot I took out today a 3cm thick round slice of ice. I placed it beside the street. Looks nice.

Coming home from a games evening, I found my car (in Mötz) covered with snow, so I had to clean it. Driving home was tricky. Little sliding round the corner. Sounds like a song title, but that was the style I drove home. In Obsteig I met the salt-car, but in the other direction. The snow lies about 1 cm high. I can measure the grip of my tyres in the snow. -4,6 degrees Celsius right now (1:16 a.m.)

Right now I was outside for a cigarette. 11 p.m. Snowfall startet. Wonder what it looks outside tomorrow morning.

As I got up today, I saw dark blue sky, the last stars and a wonderful dawn. At Fronhausen I saw nothing but fog. At school I saw fog. Back home again I had a cup of coffee out on the terrace in the sun under a wonderful sunny blue sky.
Today I wanted to take water out of the rain pot to wash out the bio-waste-pot. I had to take a big piece of wood to smash the ice to get to the fluid water. So here he is: winter!

Some weeks ago we saw holes in the leaves of the plants in our garden. We thought bugs are the reason. Some days ago we went out at night and saw some "dew-snails" on the plants. Because we don't want to use "Schneckenkorn", its too poisonous, I decided to collect them and kill them. So I started collecting in the evening at about 10 p.m. and finished at 11.45 p.m. I stopped counting at 300 and I had about 5 liter snails. Tomorrow the same show, but hopefully with fewer snails.

I don't know wether this is a good or a bad sign

We bought 1 m^3 wood and 50 packs of woodbricks for winter. When there is no change in weather, we will have no wood to burn when winter starts.

Unfortunately the water collected from the carport is contamined with something from the "Dachpappe". It has foam and looks brown. Looking at the 200 l pot offers a sight, as I would brew beer.

Today I almost finished the fence door. The glue is hard, the eye-screws are mounted. All I need is the steel cable to fix the net. I think it will be finished, when I will be at OBI the next time. So be patient for pics.

Today I wanted to finish the fence door and was on a tour through Telfs to get the parts. I got the hinge, I got the srews, I got the door buckle, I got the eye-screws for fixing the net to the door. But there was no steel cable to fix the net to the eye-screws available in Telfs. Damnd. I have to wait until Tuesday to get it in Innsbruck. What a village Telfs is. *sigh*

Finally I started making the gate in the fence by my own. Soon we can open our garden ...

As it is for everybodys interest: Since today we have a working collector for rainwater from the roof. An extension was mounted that leads the rainwater from the tube into the big pot. The pot was moved to the housewall, so another car can park in front of the house. great thing!

Today Georg and his girlfriend Simone visited my house. I think, they liked it. Unfortunately the weather was not fine, so they could not take a swim in the lake. We talked a bit, drank coffee and I hope we meet another time for playing a game or making musik.
